RK Embassy in France held reception on Independence Day

ASTANA.  December 21. KAZINFORM The growing role of Kazakhstan on the international arena, its forthcoming presidency in the OSCE are connected with its success in political and economic development, support of public harmony and stability in the region. This was noted by the participants of a reception held at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Paris on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence.

A photo exposition devoted to Astana, young capital city of the country, cultural diversity, religious and inter-ethnic accord of Kazakhstan community, tourist potential etc. was organized within the reception. The guests could also enjoy a documentary entitled "The Sky of People, the Land of Peace" which tells about Kazakhstan's role in peaceful exploration of space and first state visit of French President Nicolas Sarkozy to Astana in autumn 2009.

Deputies of the French Parliament, heads of Foreign Office of France and other state bodies, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations, large French and international companies, figures of art and cinema, representatives of mass media, NGOs and Kazakh Diaspora attended the event.
