RK Minister of Emergencies meets Japanese Ambassador
ASTANA. February 17. KAZINFORM Minister of Emergencies Vladimir Bozhko has had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Kazakhstan Shigeo Natsui, Kazinform has learnt from the Ministry?s press service.
The meeting aimed at development of the Kazakh-Japanese cooperation in prevention and liquidation of the consequences of emergency.
Vladimir Bozhko briefed about the structure, forces, means and main directions of the Kazakh Ministry?s activity and focused on the necessity of further development of mutual contacts, exchange of experience in certain directions of prevention and liquidation of emergencies. He also noted that the level of cooperation of the Kazakh Ministry with similar structures of Japan does not conform with the high level of the Kazakh-Japanese coop development.
In the course of the talk Kazakhstani side identified the issues of possible coop, namely in organization of civil protection system of Japan, planning the measures of the population?s safety during earthquakes and radiation accidents, analysis and risk management, studying the systems of training and re-training of personnel, organization of the work of firefighting service, ?119? and ?911? services and crisis centers, emergency action centers and their technical equipment.
In conclusion, the parties confirmed their desire to activate cooperation in the abovementioned directions.
