Romanian Parliament supports political and socio-economic reforms in Kazakhstan

For the first time in the Romanian Parliament building was organized a round table “Reforms in Kazakhstan with a focus on comprehensive partnership with Romania”, which was attended by the leadership of the Parliament, as well as a wide range of representatives of the expert community of the host country, Kazinform Agency cites the Kazakh MFA. 

Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerlik Ali presented in detail implementation of the new economic course of Kazakhstan, large-scale political and socio-economic reforms taking place in the country initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Chairman of the Friendship Group, Senator Cristian Ţâgârlaş said that Kazakhstan is the most important player in Central Asia and through reforms can become the engine of transformation in the entire region. It was also noted that the history of successful relations between Kazakhstan and Romania serve as a basis for the implementation of various projects in the economic and transport spheres.

Vice President of the Commission on International Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies Andi-Lucian Cristea stressed that despite the current situation in the international arena, Kazakhstan remains an island of stability and prosperity, as well as provide guidance for its neighbors.

Senate deputy Ardelan Ben-Oni noted that Kazakhstan's reforms aimed at economic development are timely and will give impetus to strengthening bilateral relations with Romania, in particular the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

Director of the Center for Conflict Prevention Narciz Bălășoiu drew attention to the fact that Kazakhstan is known for its political initiatives and the entire democratic world is closely watching the ongoing transformations. At the same time, it was stated that for the EU Kazakhstan is one of the most important countries on the geopolitical map, which is also confirmed by the high growth of mutual trade and investment.

Director of the Institute of Political Science and International Relations Dan Dungaciu noted the successful transformation of Kazakhstan, aimed at political reboot and improving the welfare of the population of the country. In his opinion, being leaders in their regions, Kazakhstan and Romania should increase the volume of mutual trade and investment.

In general, the experts confirmed the correctness and timeliness of thr fundamental reforms, successful implementation of which will transform public administration, improve the welfare of the population and accelerate the completion of the construction of a new Just Kazakhstan.

At the end of the event, the guests of the event were presented with the state-of-the-nation address “Economic course of a Just Kazakhstan”.
