Round table to discuss Kazakh President's Address held in Moscow

At the roundtable, Russian political, business and expert circles discussed key points of the annual Address of President Nazarbayev to the People "Kazakhstan's way - 2050: common aim, common interests, common future". Kazakhstan's parliamentary delegation led by Deputy Chairman of Majilis Sergey Dyachenko, members of the Russian Parliament, prominent representatives of academia, media pundits and political experts, as well as major Kazakhstan and Russian media participated in the event, the Kazakh MFA's press service said. According to Oleg Savchenko, a member of Russian Parliament's Industrial Committee and coordinator of inter-parliamentary cooperation group, "Russian parlamentarians are genuinely interested in the work of Kazakhstan's Majilis and find the experience of their Kazakh colleagues useful". In this context, the Heads of the two states "set high benchmark and ambition for the development of the two countries. Hence, the work of the Russian and Kazakhstan parliament members is aimed at implementing the adopted strategy." During the bilateral discussion, head of the post-Soviet countries' economic development department of the Center of post-Soviet studies of the Institute of economics of the Russian Academy of Science Elena Kuzmina drew attention to Kazakhstan's regular demonstration of its ability to clear elaboration and implementation of development programs. A good example is "Strategy - 2030". Delivering his speech, senior research fellow of the Center of the Analytical monitoring of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations Leonid Gusev noted Kazakhstan's determination to introduce a range of principles and standards of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development as a major guideline for entering the group of the world's top 30 developed countries. Deputy Rector of the International High Business School MIRBIS, director of Center on Cooperation with Neighboring States Anatoliy Panov stated that, along with such fundamental issues as education, healthcare and science development, the Address puts special emphasis on the development of small and medium-sized businesses.
