Russia CEC to make public official election results Dec 9
MOSCOW. December 8. KAZINFORM The Russian Central Election Commission (CEC) will sum up the official results of the State Duma elections on December 9, CEC Secretary Nikolai Konkin said on Thursday.
According to preliminary reports, the CEC will meet late on Friday evening.
According to Itar-Tass, after 99.9% of votes had been counted United Russia gained 49.3% of votes (238 seats), the CPRF - 19.2% (92 seats), Just Russia - 13.25% (64 seats), the LDPR - 12% (56 seats), the CEC reported. Three parties - Patriots of Russia, Yabloko and Right Cause were not elected in the State Duma.
