Russia, China to discuss extra oil supplies through Kazakhstan

MOSCOW. March 19. KAZINFORM The extra oil supplies from Russia into China will be discussed within the upcoming meeting of two countries' leadership, Russian agency Prime reported on Tuesday with the reference to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.

Among the routes for these oil supplies the parties will consider the one through the Russian city of Skovorodino, as well as another through Kazakhstan.

"Oil supplies pumping through Skovorodino and other routes can be increased. The route through Kazakhstan is being discussed," Dvorkovich said.

Last week Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said that China had proposed to double oil supplies pumping through Skovorodino-Mohe pipeline to 30 million tons per year by building the second line of the existing pipeline, Kazinform refers to trend.az.

In February Arkady Dvorkovich said that Russia can increase oil deliveries to China by more than 9 million tons per year. Currently, according to the contract between Russian Rosneft and Transneft and Chinese CNPC, Russia supplies 15 million tons to China.
