Russia continues to promote ceasefire in Gaza: diplomat

MOSCOW. January 5. KAZINFORM Russia will continue to promote ceasefire in Gaza, Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko said on Sunday in comments on the beginning of an Israeli land operation in the Strip.

Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Saltanov has gone to the Middle East for that purpose, Nesterenko said, ITAR-TASS informs.
