Russia hails Kazakhstan's success in inter-faith dialogue: Vice FM of Russia

  MOSCOW. December 5. KAZINFORM Moscow hosted a reception on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event brought together reps of the Russian Foreign Ministry, international organizations and foreign missions, accredited in Russia, heads of Russian research institutes and universities. Kazakh public figures and employees of Kazakh companies working in Russia were in attendance as well.

In his opening speech Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Russia Galym Orazbakov noted over the years of its independence Kazakhstan had come a long way building up its market economy and foreign policy.

"Kazakhstan considers Russia as its key strategic partner and ally," the envoy said. "The relations between the two countries ensure stability and security in Eurasia. The strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Russia is based on mutual benefit and equal rights, high level of trust between the leaders of the countries."

A special guest of the evening - Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin congratulated the Kazakh diplomatic mission on the Day of Independence. He emphasized the special relations between the heads of states allowed to make a breakthrough in the development of economic and integration processes. Besides, according to Mr. Karasin, Russia highly appreciates Kazakhstan's success in maintaining interreligious and inter-faith dialogue domestically.

He also reminded those present that Kazakhstan celebrated the Day of the First President on the 1st of December 2012. "This holiday is of paramount importance," G. Karasin said. "I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate people of Kazakhstan on this national holiday."
