ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Russian pilots of the MiG-29 jet fighters started drills in Armenia, which accommodates a Russian military base, RIA Novosti reported April 2, citing the press service of the Southern Military District, Kazinform refers to Trend.az.

"The exercises involve over 100 flight and maintenance personnel servicemen of the unit and more than 30 special military and aviation equipment," the report said.

The jet fighters' pilots, over three days, will practice covering troops from the air. They will also practice destroying the bombers, cruise and ballistic missiles of an imaginary enemy.
