The bill was adopted by both chambers of the Russian parliament in November, the Kremlin press service told BelTA.

The protocol will raise the upper limit on the value of personal-use goods, which are not subject to declaration, customs charges, and tax levies as citizens cross the air border of the Customs Union, from €1,500 to €10,000. The total weight of such goods cannot exceed 50kg, Kazinform has learnt from BelTA.

Yet the €1,500 limit will remain in place for personal-use goods transported by individuals across the Customs Union border by railroad and by motorway.
