Russia set to build 3 TPPs in Kazakhstan
At today’s Interregional Cooperation Forum between Kazakhstan and Russia, Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin announced that Russia will build three Thermal Power Plants (TPP) in Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.
He added that the corresponding agreement is to be signed today.
Besides, air service between Kazakhstan and Russia will also be expanded. In particular, the sides debated increasing Qazaq Air flights to Novosibirsk and Chelyabinsk.
As earlier reported, the Kazakhstan-Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum themed ‘Agriculture is the basis for strong economy’ kicked off in Kostanay region. The leaders of Kazakhstan and Russia are attending the forum via videoconferencing. It brings together members of the governments, heads of the regions of Kazakhstan and Russia, representatives of state bodies, scientific circles, and over 200 businessmen.
