"We expect that May 29 the presidents of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus will meet in Astana to sign the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union. It is planned that by the end of the current year the Treaty will be ratified by the Parliament of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus, and it will enter into force by the beginning of 2015", said M.Bocharnikov. According to the Ambassador bilateral relations between Russia and Kazakhstan received special impetus to the creation of the Customs Union. "It is important that ordinary people have got obvious benefits and advantages of the Customs Union. Customs frontiers have disappeared. Kazakhstanis became able to work in Russia and Russians in Kazakhstan. In recent years, Kazakhstan has created hundreds of companies with Russian capital, and Kazakhstan people are actively developing our market. We develop relationships and knowledge-based industries including the nuclear one. Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has instructed to build a nuclear power plant in the country. In my opinion, Russia has some interesting projects to offer", he said. According to Bocharnikov, cross-border cooperation is strongly developed between the states. In particular, this autumn the Atyrau region will host a forum for interregional cooperation with the participation of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
