Russian expert proposed to put N. Nazarbayev forward for Nobel Peace Prize for peacekeeping policy at international arena and integration initiatives

ASTANA. December 15. KAZINFORM A meeting of the experts council of leading Russian political analysts was held on the results of Kazakhstan's presidency in the OSCE in Russia, the press service of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia informs.

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia Zautbek Turisbekov taking part in the meeting, noted that Kazakhstan's first task was making the Organization stronger at world arena and to increase its efficiency regarding responding to new challenges. According to him, Nursultan Nazarbayev's efforts on reviving the OSCE allowed to turn security dialogue on and aim at building new foundation of the OSCE based on firm Helsinki principles. 'Main result of the Summit was adoption of the Astana Declaration which proved the commitment of member states of the Organization to the main principles of the Organization', the Ambassador emphasized.

Director for International Programs of the Russian National Strategy Institute, political scientist Yuri Solozobov who also took part in the event congratulated Kazakhstanis on completion of the presidency in the OSCE . He noted that holding of the Summit of the OSCE in Astana was a victory of Kazakhstan's diplomacy.

'Nursultan Nazarbayev and Kazakhstan's diplomacy offered at the Summit to world community to talk about real problems, not about virtual problems', General Director of the Center for study of CIS at the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University Alexei Vlasov noted. According to him during the presidency of Kazakhstan balance between the baskets of the OSCE was found.

Editor-in-Chief of the 'Diplomat' magazine Yuri Tavrovsky also participating in the meeting said that experience of Kazakhstan that was gained during the presidency in the OSCE helped it succeed in establishing the Single Economic Space. The expert proposed to put President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev forward for the Nobel Peace Prize for peacekeeping policy at international arena and integration initiatives that he conducts.

Upon the completion of the meeting the participamys agreed that the presidency of Kazakhstan in the OSCE had been successful.
