Russian FM Lavrov hopes Russia-Kazakhstan nuclear cooperation will continue
UST KAMENOGORSK. KAZINFORM - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday he hoped that nuclear cooperation with Kazakhstan would develop.
Lavrov is currently in Kazakhstan on a working visit, Kazinform has learnt from ITAR-TASS. "Russian atomic scientists have big plans. I hope that we will continue cooperation," he said. Russia and Kazakhstan are expected to sign an agreement on the construction of a nuclear power plant shortly. "The corresponding agencies have coordinated a memorandum. As far as I know the agreement is being prepared for ratification," he said.
