Russian journalists provided with transport and guard for smooth coverage of the events
ASTANA. December 18. KAZINFORM/Kanat Kulshmanov/ Two Russian journalists - special correspondent of Lenta.ru news website Iliya Azar and correspondent and photographer of Kommerstant Vladimir Solovyov and Vassiliy Shaposhnikov were taken to the Zhanaozen department of internal affairs today in the morning, the press service of the Mangystau prosecution agency said.
The President of Kazakhstan decreed to impose the state of emergency in the town of Zhanazoen from 6 pm of December 17. During the emergency the freedom of movement, use of radio and TV transmitting equipment, video and audio-recording facilities are suspended.
Having established their identities Iliya Azar, Vladimir Solovyov and Vassiliy Shaposhnikov were released and provided with transport and security for smooth carrying of their activity.
