Russian nightclub fire death toll rises to 117
PERM. December 8. KAZINFORM The deaths on Tuesday of four more persons hospitalized with injuries sustained in a recent nightclub fire in Russia's Urals brought the death toll to 117, the local emergencies ministry said; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.

"Four people died overnight in Perm hospitals," a statement from the emergencies ministry said.
According to earlier statements from the Russian Health Ministry, over 120 people were being treated in hospitals, with 28 of them in a critical condition.
The fire engulfed the Lame Horse nightclub in the city of Perm in the early hours of Saturday during an indoor fireworks display.
Russia observed a national day of mourning on Monday for the victims of the nightclub fire. Flags were flying at half-mast and memorial services were being held; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
