Russian retaliatory sanctions do not imply the involvement of other CU and CES member-states - telephone conversation b/w N.Nazarbayev and V.Putin

The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and regional cooperation in Eurasia. The two presidents exchanged views on the crisis in Ukraine, as well as the possible adoption of joint steps to direct talks with the President of Ukraine in different formats, including a meeting with members of the Customs Union and the Ukraine, or special extraordinary session of the Council of the heads of CIS member-states. In addition, the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia discussed the upcoming meeting of Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia which will take place in the city of Sochi. Russian Head of State Vladimir Putin informed the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on the steps taken by the Russian Federation to limit the import of agricultural products and foodstuffs from certain countries. It was noted that this was a unilateral act of the Russian Federation which will not imply the involvement of other CU and CES member-states.
