Rybakina is 4th in updated WTA Singles Rankings

The Women’s Tennis Association has released an updated rankings of singles and doubles payers, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.

Iga Świątek of Poland became the world No 1 after beating Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka in the WTA Finals and elbowed her aside to the second spot. U.S player Coco Gauff retains her third position.

Kazakhstan’s No 1 Elena Rybakina stands 4th in the rankings. At the WTA Finals, Rybakina failed to leave the group, having lost in the third match to Sabalenka.

Another Kazakh player Yulia Putintseva climbed one position up and stands 69th.

As for doubles players, Storm Hunter from the U.S. tops the rankings. Belgian player Elise Mertens is second, and U.S. player Jessica Pegula is third.

Kazakhstan’s No 1 in doubles Anna Danilina moved one line up and occupies 56th position. Rybakina lost one line and stands 119th. Zhibek Kulambayeva improved her position by nine lines and stands 151st.
