Rybakina ties up score against Team Spain at United Cup in Australia

World No. 6 Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan secured the first win against Spain at the United Cup, a mixed team tournament in Sydney and Perth, Australia, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from Sports.kz.

Kazakhstan’s Rybakina beat world No. 54 Jessica Bouzas Maneiro of Spain with a score of 6:2, 6:3 in two sets, equalizing the score for Kazakhstan in the match against Spain (1-1).

Team Kazakhstan got into Group C along with Spain and Greece. The national team features Elena Rybakina, Zhibek Kulambayeva, Alexander Shevchenko, Dmitry Popko and captain Aleksandr Nedovyesov.

It was earlier reported that Alexander Shevchenko had suffered a defeat in the first match at the United Cup in Australia.
