S Kazakhstan starts harvesting
ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Southern regions of Kazakhstan began harvesting," head of the state agroindustrial inspection committee of the Kazakh Agriculture Ministry Saktash Khassenov said.
The Almaty, Zhanbyl, West Kazakhstan and South Kazakhstan regions started reaping. The West Kazakhstan region expects to harvest grain this year twice as much as compared to 2013.
According to him, it is crucial to get ready for storage and handling the yield. There are 239 enterprises to store 13 mln tons and farm households with grain depots for 9 mln tons.
"As of today there are 4 mln tons of grain are kept at the country's grain stores that is suffice to meet internal consumption needs and exports," he resumed.
