S Korea backs closer ties between Kazakhstan and Asian and Pacific Rim

ASTANA. December 19. KAZINFORM Former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Korea to Kazakhstan Lee Byung-hwa wished Kazakhstan prosperity in his remarks on the new "Kazakhstan-2050" Strategy.

"South Korea fully supports the idea of Kazakhstan's rapprochement with the countries of Asia-Pacific region suggested in this strategic document. Of course, the South Korean side will go to great lengths and bend every effort to develop economic relations with Kazakhstan," the South Korean diplomat said.

"Decentralization of power and fight against corruption should dominate further modernization of Kazakhstan, I total agree with that," Lee Byung-hwa noted.
