S Korea to invest above KZT 81 bln in W Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable (KGIR 2024) took place in Astana. It is one of the key annual events bringing together state bodies and international investment community to discuss pressing issues and shape promising investment strategies. This year it focused on global investment trends and future vision, Kazinform News Agency cites West Kazakhstan governor’s press service.
Addressing those present, governor of West Kazakhstan Nariman Turegaliyev said attraction of investments and creation of comfortable business climate remain key priorities outlined by the Head of State. He said the roundtable provides unique opportunities to establish cooperation with potential investors and demonstrate investment potential of the regions.
He added West Kazakhstan created all necessary conditions for investors, including favorable climate, developed infrastructure and strong industrial and logistics potential. The region launched high-tech productions which indicates real economic potential and stability for further growth.
The governor noted for the past three years capital investments hit 1.6 trillion tenge that is 16.4% up the previous years.
He stressed the akimat of West Kazakhstan and Hyundai Solar KZ 777 of South Korea signed a memorandum on the sidelines of the roundtable. The South Korean company plans to develop four projects worth 81.4 billion tenge and generate 120 new jobs in the region. The projects will be developed in 2024-2026. Among the planned projects are the construction of a waste treatment complex, a greenery, and a solar panels plant.
