S.Mynbayev participated in international conference on transit of energy

ASTANA. April 28. KAZINFORM As earlier reported an international conference ?Reliable and Stable Transit of Energy and the Role of Energy in Sustainable Development and International Cooperation? was held in Ashkhabad. Heads of international organizations, in particular the UN, the OSCE, the SCO, Foreign and Energy Ministries of different countries, scientists and experts took part in the conference, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

The issues of reliable and stable supplies of energy to the world markets, diversification of routes of energy transit, improvement of the legal framework of cooperation between the producing and transit countries and consumers of hydrocarbons, etc. Kazakh delegation headed by Kazakh Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sauat Mynbayev took part in the conference. The Minister told about the main directions and development strategy of the energy sector of our country. Upon the results of the conference the Statement of the Ashkhabad conference with a proposal to the United Nations Organization to consider the issue of establishment of an expert group for preparation of recommendations on the development of future international legal document on transit of energy, taking into account the proposals of interested states and international organizations was adopted.
