S. Tull: Kazakhstan likely to play the leading role in civil service formation

ASTANA. March 15. KAZINFORM "It is crucial to study the international experience in order to make civil service more professional," Mr. Stephen Tull, UN Resident Coordinator in the Republic of Kazakhstan, expressed his opinion at the foundation conference of the Regional Hub in the sphere of civil service in Astana.

"This is a long-term project between our organization and the Agency for Civil Service Affairs of Kazakhstan. And Kazakhstan's initiative on organization of the Regional Hub is of paramount importance," S. Tull said.

In his worlds, the Regional Hub has a great potential and Kazakhstan is likely to play the leading role in the field of civil service formation.

Mr. Tull recalled that President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in his state-of-the-nation address spoke of the necessity to improve the quality of civil services. "That is why it is important to study the international experience in order to make civil service more professional," he noted.
