Sadyr Zhaparov to attend Summit of Heads of Organization of Turkic States in Astana

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov will participate in a meeting of the Summit of the Heads of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Astana city of Kazakhstan on November 2-3, Kabar reports.

Head of the foreign policy department of the presidential administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Muratbek Azymbakievtold that theme of the Summit is “TURKTIME” (Traditions, Unification, Reforms, Knowledge, Trust, Investments and Mutual Energy).

The leaders of the countries will discuss current issues on the Organization's agenda, adopt the Astana Act and the final Declaration of the Summit, covering key areas of multilateral cooperation.

As part of the event, it is planned to sign multilateral documents in the field of emergency situations, metrology, a Joint Action Plan for the implementation of the OTS Transport Program, the adoption of a number of personnel decisions in the Organization of Turkic States and the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, as well as the Decision to declare February 6 “Day of Remembrance for the Victims of disasters and solidarity within the OTS."

“The heads of member states of the Organization - the Republic of Turkiye, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as heads of delegations of observer countries of the Organization - will take part in the Summit,” said Muratbek Azymbakiev.
