Salary of 1.3 mln public sector workers increased by 30% from July 1 - Abdykalikova

ASTANA. November 15. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ A salary of 1.3 mln public sector workers has increased by 30 percent from July 1, 2011.Minister of Labor and Social Protection Gulshara Abdykalikova has announced at the Government's session.

According to her, an average wage of the public sector workers increased from KZT 52 thousand to KZT 61.5 thousand as of November 1. Besides, there was increased the size of the base pension payments, which rose to 50 percent of the minimum subsistence level.

"Today the maximum size of the pension payments exceeds KZT 52 thousand, the minimum one exceeds KZT 24 thousand, and the average payment makes KZT 35.6 thousand," the Minister noted.
