Samruk Kazyna investment portfolio includes over 140 projects worth KZT 53.5 trillion, CEO

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Samruk Kazyna JSC CEO Nurlan Zhakupov, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the Akorda press service.

Nurlan Zhakupov reported on the key results of the fund’s activities in the first six months and plans for the coming period. He said the fund’s revenues reached 7.9 trillion tenge that is 7% more against the plan.

The fund stands as a catalyst of direct foreign investments and co-invests in the projects in petrochemistry, energy, transportation and logistics, machine building and digitalization jointly with foreign partners.

He reported that the Samruk Kazyna investment portfolio includes over 140 projects worth 53.5 trillion tenge. He stressed development of mega projects in oi, petrochemical, logistics sectors and the mining industry will have a multiplicative effect on the country’s economy at large.

Zhakupov also announced the fund’s corporate social responsibility charitable projects.

Following the meeting the Head of State outlined certain tasks for the implementation of investment and social projects and the fund’s further improvement.
