Samruk-Kazyna JSC, SOVICO Group discuss cooperation prospects
Nurlan Zhakupov, Chief Executive Officer of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, and Nguyen Thanh Hung, Chairman of the Board of SOVICO Group, met in Astana on Wednesday, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The sides discussed the prospects for cooperation between Samruk-Kazyna Group of Companies and SOVICO Group in transport and logistics.
In August 2023, during Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s visit to Vietnam, JSC NC KazMunayGas and JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy signed memorandums of mutual understanding with SOVICO Group. JSC KazPost also entered into the agreement of mutual cooperation with the Vietnamese corporation.
SOVICO Group’s daughter company VietJet Air operates passenger flights between Kazakhstan and Vietnam four times a week.
Established in 1992, Sovico Group is one of the largest diversified conglomerates of Vietnam specializing in real estate, energy, banking and financial spheres, aviation, and digitalization.
VietJet Air, established in 2012, is the largest airline company on the domestic market of Vietnam. It operates more than 400 flights per day with 84 aircraft in the company’s fleet.
Since October 2022, the airline has been operating flights to Kazakhstan.
