?SamrukKazyna?, Alliance Bank signed agreement on preferential loans to students

ALMATY. February 27. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ ?SamrukKazyna? National Welfare Fund and the Alliance Bank have signed an agreement on preferential loans to students in Almaty today, Kazinform reports. The agreement provides for allocation of up to KZT 15 bln on the banks? deposits within the preferential loans program, Kazinform correspondent reports.

The document was signed by ?SamrukKazyna? Vice Chairman Kairat Aitekenov and Acting Chairman of the Bank Maksat Kabashev. The program was developed by ?SamrukKazyna? together with Ministries of Education and Healthcare on the President?s commission given at the session of the Bureau of ?Nur Otan? Party?s Political Council. According to the Program loans for studying will be given for the term of 15 years at the rate of 9% per annum. The Program covers those people who study or wish to study at Kazakhstani universities on fee-paying basis for technical and medical specialties. Students-orphans and those left without parental care; disabled students; students, whose parents are disabled; students from large and single parent families and students whose parents are pensioners will be in priority as well. 30 thousand students are expected to get state support, K. Aitekenov said.
