Sanctions against Russia not to directly affect Kazakhstan
ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Sanctions imposed against Russia will not have any direct effect on Kazakhstan," CEO of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan Ablai Myrzakhmetov told a briefing at the Central Communications Service under the President of Kazakhstan.
"Those sanctions are imposed against Russia. But Russia is one of our key trading partners. Russian analysts forecast moderate GDP growth, while western analysts note slowdown pointing out to zero growth. According to different estimates, sanctions may lead in short-time period to 5% GDP slowdown," he said.
