SARA TASTANBEKKYZY
SARA TASTANBEKKYZY (1853-1907) – an akyn-improvisator.

She was born in Almaty oblast. She is from the Naiman tribe.
She is known for many poems, songs like ?Zhurek? (?Heart?), ?Ashyndym? and many others.
There is told about a wish of a man to be free in poem ?Zhurek? (?Heart?), about a plight of a woman, cruelty and injustice ? in tolgau ?Ashyndym?.
In 1993 book ?Akyn Sara? of T.Kalilakhanov was published. Monuments to Sara Tastenbekkyzy were erected in the Aksu district of Almaty oblast and in Taldykorgan.
