Saudabayev, Kazakh ambassadors discussed coop with Europe

ASTANA. March 3. KAZINFORM Chairman of the State Commission on celebrating the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, Secretary of State - Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev held a sectional meeting with Ambassadors of Kazakhstan to the European countries dedicated to the tasks in diplomatic work with the EU and preparation for the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported.

K.Saudabayev defined the main priorities of Kazakhstan's foreign policy in the European direction outlined in the President's Address to the Nation. Importance of developing economic contacts with the EU member states, including the attraction of European investments and technologies to realization of the forced industrialization program and "Path to Europe" program was emphasized.

Besides, the importance of developing "Kazakhstan-EU-2020" Energy Charter was accentuated. K.Saudabayev said that to date all necessary conditions for bringing the relations with the EU member states to a new level were created.

In this context, the participated in the meeting Ambassadors of Kazakhstan to Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, etc were charged to activate further development of cooperation with Europe.
