Science should work for people's benefit and strengthening of Kazakhstan's positions - President

ALMATY. December 1. KAZINFORM /Berik Bekmurzayev/ KZT 42 bln is to be invested in development of the domestic science in 2012. President Nursultan Nazarbayev has made it public at the Forum of Scientists of Kazakhstan.

As the Head of State emphasized, in the coming years KZT 118 bln more is to be invested in this sphere. "Science should work for the benefit of people and strengthening positions of Kazakhstan," he outlined.

N.Nazarbayev noted that the country pays great attention for development of science and enhancement of scientists' prestige. A salary of the Kazakh scientists has increased tenfold from 1997. For 20 years a network of scientific organizations rose by 1.6 times.
