SCO healthcare ministers signed coop agreement
ASTANA. November 18. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ The Cooperation Treaty between the SCO healthcare ministries was signed on Thursday, November 18 in Astana. Deputy Healthcare Minister of Kazakhstan Erik Baizhunusov made it public at the briefing upon the results of the first session of the SCO healthcare ministers.
"The main purpose of today's event was laying the foundation for cooperation in the healthcare sphere that was of special importance", E.Baizhunusov said.
According to him, the situation of recent years shows that one state along is unable to defeat such epidemics as bird flu and SARS. In this regard, complex measures of bordering countries such as the SCO member states are necessary.
