SCO Healthcare Ministers to visit Astana this week

ASTANA. November 15. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ The first Meeting of Healthcare Ministers of the SCO member states will take place in Astana on November 18 within the framework of the presidency of Kazakhstan in the SCO.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Askar Abdrakhmanov said it at the briefing in Astana.

According to him, the parties will exchange views on a wide range of issues regarding development of cooperation between the SCO member states.

'The ministers will discuss propositions on establishing effective mechanism of interaction in medical education, science, innovations and new technologies and other spheres', the spokesman said.

Besides, the sides will discuss such draft documents as the SCO Governments' Agreement on Cooperation in Healthcare, the Plan of Multilateral Cooperation in Healthcare and the Regulation of a permanent expert working group.
