SCO intends to strengthen economic cooperation
The heads of delegations exchanged opinions on wide range of issues regarding the global and regional economic development. The sides outlined that the SCO region is characterized by stability, tendency of GDP growth and investment attraction in the face of uncertainty in the global financial and commodity markets and signs of a slowdown in the world economic growth.
The premiers emphasized necessity to focus on elaboration and implementation of joint projects, first of all, in such spheres as transport, telecommunications, science and technologies, innovations, energy saving, agriculture, trade, tourism and other fields.
For activation of economic and humanitarian interaction in the SCO space the premiers urged the corresponding ministries and departments to prepare draft list of events on further development of project activity within the SCO for its approval by the SCO Prime Ministers' Council.
They confirmed support of establishment of the SCO Special Account and SCO Development Bank.
The session participants emphasized significance of cooperation in the sphere of science, technologies, innovations and etc. they also spoke for further deepening cooperation in the humanitarian sphere for strengthening friendship.
