SCO member countries' forces ready to counter international terrorism
SHYMKENT. November 10. KAZINFORM /Tatyana Pylaeva/ Consolidated unit of a military unit 6506 from Shymkent came back from Matybulak polygon where it took part in Peace Mission 2010 fifth joint anti-terror exercises of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). According to Deputy Commander, CaptainTorekhan Tortbayev Kazakhstan's military units participating in the drills proved their professionalism.
'It was the first time when I saw so many militants and military equipment. It is a really thrilling view to see all those tanks, artillery and military air forces in action', Torekhan Tortbayev said.
Before the mission the forces had joint exercises. The task was accomplished on time and at required level. 'These drills proved once again that the forces of the SCO member countries are ready to counter international terrorism in all its forms', T. Tortbayev added.
