SCO ministers responsible for int'l economic activity meet in Tashkent

TASHKENT. October 23. KAZINFORM The XII session of the ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) responsible for international economic activity took place in Tashkent on Wednesday.

Kazakhstan was represented by Vice Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Madina Abylkassymova and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan Boribay Zheksembin. The event was chaired by Elyor Ganiyev, the Minister of Foreign Economic Affairs, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan.

The SCO Secretariat reported on the implementation of the Program of multilateral commercial and economic cooperation of the SCO member countries. Participants discussed the issues of activity of the SCO Business Council and Interbank Association and the creation of the SCO Development Bank.

Following the results of the meeting, the Protocol of the 12^th session of the SCO ministers responsible for international economic activity was signed.
