SCO observer mission arrives in Uzbekistan
The Central Election Commission held a meeting with representatives of the mission. Chairman of the CEC of Uzbekistan M. Abdusalomov briefed the guests on the work done in the framework of the program of basic measures for the preparation and holding of presidential elections. During the roundtable it was noted that all activities are conducted in a timely manner in strict accordance with the national legislation on elections. Preparation and holding of elections of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan is carried out openly and transparently with the participation of observers from international organizations and foreign governments. SCO Secretary-General Dmitry Mezentsev said that as part of the SCO Observer Mission 10 people representing the SCO member states have arrived in Uzbekistan. Mission observers operate independently and, are guided by the principles of political neutrality, impartiality, basing their conclusions on personal observation and factual material.
