Preparation for SCO Summit discussed in Beijing

The Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization held a meeting to discuss the upcoming summit of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers and the SCO Heads of State Council, Kazinform News Agency reports.

«The event held under the chairmanship of the Kazakh side focused on the issues related to the upcoming summit of the Foreign Ministers Council, Heads of State Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The meeting also touched upon the issues and initiatives aimed at boosting cooperation in political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, as part of the Organization’s current activity, ” the SCO National Coordinators Council said in a statement.

Special attention was given to raising the Organization’s effectiveness, improvement of interaction with the observer states, dialogue partners of the SCO and international associations.

The meeting ended with signing a protocol.

Kazakhstan presides in the SCO in 2023-2024.
