SCO Secretary-General to head SCO Mission of Observers for the election of the President of Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - A meeting of National coordinators council of the SCO member-states took place in Beijing last week, according to the Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, participants considered preparation for the next Summit of Heads of Member States of the SCO, which is planned to be held on 9-10 July 2015 in Ufa, as well as for the other upcoming SCO activities in 2015. National coordinators exchanged views on the draftSCO development strategy through to 2025 and the expansion of the Organization. In addition, there have been discussed the formation of SCO Mission of Observers for the elections of the Presidents of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan, which will take place on March 29th 2015 and April 26th 2015, respectively. SCO Secretary-General Dmitry Mezentsev will head SCO Mission of Observers for the election of the Presidentof the Republic of Kazakhstan. The delegation of Kazakhstan on а meeting of National coordinators headed by the National Coordinator of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Ambassador-at-large of the MFA of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aidar Abishev. The meeting was concluded with the signing of protocol.
