SCO senior officials to meet in Beijing

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Commission of senior officials of ministries and departments of the SCIO member states in charge of foreign economic and foreign trade chaired by director of the international cooperation department of the National Economy Ministry Kairat Torebayev will convene in Beijing on August 7-8, the ministry's press service said.

The discussions will address realization of the action plan for implementation of the SCO member states' multilateral trade and economic cooperation programme, event list for further development of SCO project activities for 2012-2016, foundation of the SCO Development Bank and Development Fund and preparations for the next meeting of the SCO ministers of foreign trade and foreign economic activities. As a rule, the SCO senior officials' commission meets prior to the SCO ministerial meeting and is aimed at promoting and depending cooperation in various spheres of SCO cooperation.
