SCO to discuss issues of combating terrorism, organized crime and drug trafficking in Afghanistan
ASTANA. January 12. KAZINFORM /Bauyrzhan Mukanov/ A special international conference will take place in March 2009 where the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the SCO member states will discuss the issues of struggle against terrorism, organized crime and drug trafficking in Afghanistan. Official representative of Kazakh MFA Yerzhan Ashikbayev has made it public today at a briefing in Astana.
?The conference is expected to take place in March 2009. On January 14 Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the SCO countries and representatives of special services will discuss important organizational issues concerning the special conference on Afghanistan in Moscow?, Y. Ashikbayev said.
?The delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Nurlan Yermekbayev will represent Kazakhstan?, he added.
