Search for 1 person under the rubble of collapsed building in Kostanay underway

A gas explosion rocked a building that collapsed in Amangeldy settlement in Kostanay region. Initially, seven people ended up trapped under the rubble of the building, Kazinorm News Agency reports.

Two people were rescued from the rubble. Rescuers continue the search for one more person.

Local police confirmed that four people had been hospitalized after sustaining minor injuries. One person remains under the rubble.

One of the witnesses claimed he was at home when the explosion occurred. He didn’t realize it was the gas explosion until he saw rescuers and cars flooding the scene.

Volunteers have reportedly arrived at the scene with essential supplies like blankets, warm clothing, hot tea, foods, etc.
