Sec of State received Head of UN Centre for Preventive Diplomacy
ASTANA. March 3. KAZINFORM /Kurmat Samarkhan/ Secretary of State Kanat Saudabayev has met with Special Representative of the UN Secretary General – Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy in Central Asia Miroslav Jenca in Akorda today, Kazinform correspondent reports.
?Kazakhstan stands for expansion of the UN activity in Central Asia. President Nursultan Nazarbayev has always adhered consistent policy in the region?, K. Saudabayev noted.
There is a number of problems in the region solution of which requires active participation of all CA countries. These are, in particular, the problem of the Aral Sea and prevention of drug-traffic from Afghanistan. ?In this context you may rely on our support and participation?, the Secretary of State assured.
In turn Miroslav Jenca noted Kazakhstan?s key role in establishment of the Centre for Preventive Diplomacy and its active participation in the UN activity.
