Secretary General of Muslim World League to take part in Congress of Religious Leaders

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Special envoy of the President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev, deputy of the Kazakh Senate Ansar Musakhanov met with Secretary General of the Muslim World League Abdullah Al-Turki during his trip to Saudi Arabia. At the meeting, the Kazakh diplomat handed over an invitation to Abdullah Al-Turki to participate in the upcoming 5th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

The Senator told the Secretary General about the Kazakhstan model of interethnic and inter-religious accord, the Year of the People's Assembly and informed his interlocutor about the results of the first four congresses of leaders of world and traditional religions and told about the theme of the fifth congress," the press service of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan informs.

Abdullah Al-Turki highly praised the initiative of President of N. Nazarbayev on holding of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and emphasized that Kazakhstan demonstrated the entire world how to stay united under such difficult conditions in the world.

Abdullah Al-Turki also assured that the Muslim World League will take an active part in the work of the forum.
