Secretary of Russia's Security Council to visit Astana
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev is set to visit Kazakhstan on February 17-18, Kazinform has learnt from the Council's press service.
In Astana, Mr. Patrushev will meet with his Kazakhstani colleague Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Assistant to President Nurlan Yermekbayev. The two security councils are expected to hold joint consultations on a wide range of issues related to ensuring security in Central Asia. Utmost attention will be paid to the development of the Eurasian Economic Union member states and problems of national security amid sanctions against Russia. It is also expected that President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will receive Nikolai Patrushev on Wednesday.
