Secretary of State awards presidential, state scholarships to figures of culture and art

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - In Almaty Kazakh Secretary of State Gulshara Abdykalykova on behalf of the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has awarded Presidential and State scholarships for 2014 to well-known figures of culture and art.

"Culture is an important aspect of the development of society. Every year Government allocates 7.5 billion tenge for publishing works of great poets, staging new theatrical performances and so on. Awarding scholarships is recognition of the valuable contribution of the laureates to national culture development," said the Secretary of State. By the end of 2014 there were awarded scholarships to 100 workers of culture. Presidential scholarship was awarded to Olzhas Suleimenov, Bibigul Tulegenova, Eskendir Hasangaliyev and others. Winners of the state scholarship are - Alan Buribayev, Aygerim Beketayeva, Alia Telebarisova and a number of other young talents of the country.
