Secretary of State stressed importance of deepening strategic partnership b/w Kazakhstan and the US
ASTANA. November 1. KAZINFORM - Today Secretary of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Tazhin has received temporary charge d' affaires of the U.S. to Kazakhstan John Ordway, says the press service of Akorda.
Welcoming John Ordway the Kazakh Secretary of State Mr.Tazhin highlighted the deepening of the strategic partnership between our two countries.
The sides discussed the state and prospects of development of Kazakh-US relations on a wide range of issues, including through strategic partnerships, trade, economic and investment cooperation, culture and education.
Since 1993 the U.S. investment in the economy of Kazakhstan has amounted to about $ 24 billion, and Kazakhstan has more than 300 joint ventures in key sectors of the economy.
In 2004-2008 John Ordway was the U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan and in 2011 he also held office as the charge d'affaires of the U.S.
