Security Councils of Kazakhstan and Russia discuss regional security

Moscow hosted the expanded regular consultations between the staff of the Security Councils of Kazakhstan and Russia, Akorda reports.

During the talks, chaired by Security Council Secretaries Gizat Nurdauletov of Kazakhstan and Sergei Shoigu of Russia, the pressing issues of cooperation were discussed.

The sides exchanged views on issues of regional security, including combat against global terrorism and extremism as well as the state and prospects for the evolving situation in the Caspian region.

Consultations between the staff of the Security Councils of Kazakhstan and Russia are conducted on a regular basis under the cooperation plan signed by both sides.

The event resulted in the signature of a new cooperation plan for 2025/27.
